International office moving, from the server rack to the last chair on the floor plan.
Cross-border office relocation from India, the UAE and Singapore — IT infrastructure, furniture, archives and specialist equipment, surveyed asset by asset and run to one written plan. Office moves carry a zero-business-downtime guarantee.
An office move is a project, and one coordinator owns the plan.
An office move is judged on one morning. It's your people's first morning in the new building.
Three things decide that morning:
- every asset was listed before anyone touched it
- the equipment nobody can replace was packed by someone told what it was
- customs had its paperwork before the shipment arrived
The work starts on your floor. A survey of the premises records what is going, asset by asset. That inventory prices the quote, tells customs what is coming and settles any claim.
The destination end is run by our own in-house coordinators, working with a vetted agent network and local destination partners.
Scope
What an office move includes, and what it doesn't.
Compare quotes on the second column. It shows what each one leaves out.
Included in every quote
- A floor survey, and the written asset inventory it produces.
- A written move plan: shutdown order, access windows, your own tasks.
- IT catalogued by make, model and serial number, and reconnected.
- Furniture and fitout dismantled, protected and re-assembled.
- Export-grade packing, and sea or air freight.
- Export clearance and import entry, with every document filed.
- Archives moved under seal and listed on the inventory.
- All-risk marine cover at declared replacement value, included as standard.
- One named coordinator throughout.
Not included
- Duties and taxes the destination levies, assessed in advance.
- Custom crating for pieces a carton cannot hold, priced per item.
- Landlord permits, lift and loading-bay bookings, out-of-hours charges.
- A destination agent fee, where a local partner clears and delivers.
- Port demurrage, and storage beyond the period your quote agreed.
- Specialist trades: rack power, structured cabling, making good.
- Anything you buy rather than move, and disposal of what stays behind.
A quote that leaves this column blank is not cheaper. It is less finished.
How it works
Five stages, and what your side owns.
This is the order, not a timetable. Your dates live on your move plan.
The survey and its inventory
The floor is surveyed with your facilities and IT. You say what moves, what is discarded, what is replaced and who decides on the day.
The move plan
It is written before anything is packed. Your IT lead signs the shutdown order and facilities books the lifts. A later change gets a revised quote, not an invoice line.
Packing, and the shutdown
Your people clear personal items and hand over keys. Hardware leaves the racks in the agreed order, catalogued as it goes. Archives are sealed and listed too.
Freight and customs
You supply what clearance runs on: entity registration, declared values, written authority to declare for you. Clearance stalls on a missing document more often than on inspection.
Delivery and sign-off
Your approved floor plan decides where everything lands. Before the crew leaves, your IT lead tests the network and you check the arrival against the survey inventory.
What decides your quote
Why two offices the same size cost different amounts.
There is no price list. The survey measures these six on your floor.
- 01
Volume, not headcount
Space occupied sets the price. A crowded hot-desk floor can ship less than a fitted one. - 02
What is in the server room
Racks, switching, storage and UPS are the densest part, and need serial numbers. - 03
How much fitout travels
Fitout is built to be assembled once. What travels versus what is replaced is your lever. - 04
Your working window
A long weekend, an overnight and a phased move are three crew costs. - 05
Access at both ends
Lifts, loading bays and landlord permits flagged early are quoted. Found on the day, they are surcharged. - 06
Destination charges
Every country sets its own duty on used office equipment. None of it is ours.
Reviews
What IMove customers say about their moves.
We shifted from Bangalore to Auckland and our complete move was handled by Venissa from IMove Global Mobility LLP.There was a vessel delay due to port congestion in Hong Kong, but the team communicated well and managed everything smoothly. Still very happy with the service. Highly recommend their service for international relocation. Thank you Vanessia and I Move

Special mention of appreciation to Venissa for handling our shipment door to door from Bangalore to Chicago. Her crew had packed all the items very well and marked each item for identifying as it was a shared container. All the items were intact and without damage or scratch especially the Marble dinning tables, chairs, Diwan and the console. Venissa was tracking the shipment from port to port an updating us every step of the way. Her counterpart team in New Jersey also did a very good job of unloading, opening crates and assembling the furniture. Also they removed all the debris from our site. Overall we were very impressed with the service the Venissa - IMove had provided and will definitely recommend them to our friends and also to people who wish transport items from India. Well done IMove. Once again special thanks to Venissa.

Questions
What businesses ask first.
How do I move my office internationally from India?
Moving an office out of India runs in five stages, which are a site survey that produces a written asset inventory, a move plan that sequences the shutdown and building access, the packing and IT preparation, export clearance and international freight, and then delivery, reinstatement and sign-off at the new address. In India we operate in Bangalore (head office), Mumbai, Hyderabad and Kochi.
Start as soon as you have a lease date you believe in. Planning takes the time, not packing.
What is included in an international office relocation, and what is not?
Included is everything between the survey and the final walkthrough, which means the asset inventory, the written move plan, dismantling and export-grade packing, IT equipment catalogued and reconnected, furniture and fitout re-assembled, customs clearance at both ends and one named coordinator throughout. Insurance is all-risk marine cover at declared replacement value, included as standard.
Anything a third party prices is not included. The exclusions column above names each one.
How do I move IT equipment and servers internationally?
Server and network hardware moves as its own workstream rather than as furniture, with every item catalogued by make, model and serial number, powered down in an order your IT lead has agreed after your backups are taken, packed anti-statically and crated where a carton will not protect it. Customs is shown that same list.
Some destinations restrict or levy duty on particular categories. That is checked before booking, not at the border.
What documents are needed for an international office relocation?
The core set is a commercial invoice listing every item with a description, a quantity and a declared value, a full packing list, a bill of lading for sea freight or an air waybill for air, a certificate of origin and the import declaration the destination itself requires.
IT equipment is itemised by serial number. Equipment travelling temporarily moves on an ATA carnet. Preparing that set is part of the move, not billed on top.
How long does an international office move take?
There is no honest general answer, because clearance at the destination and the sailing or flight your shipment can get on dominate the calendar, and both are set by an authority or a carrier rather than by us and differ by destination and by season. Your move plan carries your dates.
The route pages above publish a transit figure where we hold one. They say nothing where we do not.
Who handles the office at the destination end?
The far end is run by our own in-house coordinators, working with a vetted agent network and local destination partners, and your named coordinator, the same one who has held the file since your survey, is still the person you call when a date moves. Where a local partner handles clearance and delivery, their charge is a destination agent fee. Your quote's exclusions name it before delivery day.
Start with a survey, not a sales call.
Tell us where the office is going and roughly when. A coordinator comes back within 2 hours to book a survey.
After it, you get a written move plan and an itemised quote with the second column filled in. What you sign off internally is what the invoice says.
